Trinda has been a part of the fabric of leadership at the CBA throughout my own many years of national and branch participation. In action, she is always able and efficient, decisive and friendly. Despite her obvious ability, she carries herself with calm and a quite assurance that leaves you knowing your goals are in good and capable hands. Trinda is not afraid to speak her mind, and she does so articulately and succinctly, but manages to do it in such an earnest way, that if you agree you are comforted, and if you don't agree, you don't mind! Trinda would be a great President of the CBA. She would handle her service in that role with intelligence and skill, and a desire to move us all forward together. Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, Q.C. Founding Chair, National Women Lawyers Forum Past BC Branch President Trinda has "fought in the trenches" of the CBA. She has been a member of many committees and councils at the National and Nova Scotia Branch levels but what distinguishes her is the active role that she has played in each of these groups. In addition to the breadth of her knowledge and understanding of the CBA and the profession as a whole, Trinda is someone who "gets things done". Her commitment to promoting diversity in the profession (both in our membership and our practices) is something that has and will continue to greatly benefit the community and the profession.
Me Pascale Pageau Delegatus services juridiques inc. Trinda was my principal during my articles and continued to be a mentor as I started my practice. She was always willing to spend time with me discussing my questions and concerns as a new lawyer. She gave me opportunity to provide feedback on files and I always felt that she listened and took in what I was saying. It was a great benefit to me to have an established, female lawyer as a principal and mentor.
Meghan M. Hanson Member of the Law Society of Alberta Trinda Ernst is running for National Second VP of the Canadian Bar Association. I have had the pleasure of working with Trinda on a National Committee and on a sub-committee planning a CLE event, and I can say without hesitation that she is GREAT to work with. She is organized and responsive, a calm voice when things get heated, and a warm supporter when the going is rough. If she makes a commitment, you can rely on her to follow through, and she takes her fair share and more of the load of work to be done. She has my vote, and I hope you will consider giving her yours!
